That's all for tonight!

With Pep's glowing praise for Man of the Match Bernardo Silva, we'll leave it there. The 191st Manchester derby was very much a day to be a City fan. A truly exceptional performance.

Highlights will follow on the official app and website this evening as well as more reaction from Pep Guardiola and his players.

We've got a rare midweek off now before Bournemouth are the visitors to the Etihad Stadium next Saturday.

Until then, be loud and proud Blues! If you're off to work, school or anywhere else this week, wear the badge with a big smile on your face!

Pep's reflection on the performance 🗣

The second goal helped us a lot. We talked at half-time. After we dropped. We made a good action and that was the key points of the game. First seven minutes we lost the ball because we didn't do simple things. We allow them to make a transition. The second half was brilliant. Last season we lost, this season we won and it always special to win at Old Trafford.

Pep on Bernardo 💬

An incredible player for us. He loves to play at Old Trafford. He's played as false 9 in the past and he has the ability to make a lot of passes. So intelligent everyone loves him and another exceptional performance. He's one of the best players i've ever seen in my life. I've trained a lot and he's one of the best.

Rare penalty 🙌

We were awarded a penalty in a Premier League match against Manchester United for only the second time (53rd game), while it was their first awarded in a fixture in the competition at Old Trafford (27th such game).

Mind the gap

Manchester United were beaten by 3+ goals in a Premier League home game against Manchester City for the third time (6-1 in 2011, 3-0 in 2014 and 3-0 in 2023), their joint-most defeats by such a margin against a single opponent, along with three versus Liverpool.
