THAT'S ALL FOR TODAY!

That's all from Matchday Live for today. Another fantastic day and more brilliance from Erling Haaland.

We will have match highlights to come on the website later, plus a full-match replay will be available from midnight on CITY+ and Recast.

It's the international break now so Pep Guardiola's side will be back in action at West Ham on Saturday, 16 September with our next game at the Etihad Stadium three days later when we begin the defence of our Champions League title against Red Star Belgrade.

We'll be top of the league going to London after a perfect start in the Premier League... COME ON CITY!!!

Juanma Lillo reaction

On the performance and Haaland's game: "Today in the first half, none of the team played well. We didn’t find that freshness and our opponents made it difficult for us.

"It would’ve been difficult for any number nine in that game particularly with the characteristics he has. I said at half-time, this isn’t an easy game for us, but you can still help us by scoring, but he didn’t just score one, he scored three."

Erling Haaland reaction

Speaking to PLP on today's performance: "It started a bit sloppy but we ended in a good way. Important win, we go into the international break having won four in four. Good start to the season."

On his hat-trick: "I'm back. No problem for me. I am always hungry. It's a new season and I am ready for it."

On Guardiola: "Good question. I think he misses us, we also miss him sometimes too. So we look forward to having him back."

JEREMY DOKU REACTION

On being nervous: "Before the game a little bit. My first start for a big club like this, it’s normal but I tried my best to help the team as much as possible. When you play at home you always have the advantage, and the crowd can help positively."

On the experience of playing with Haaland: "Easy, he scores everything! He doesn’t need a lot of chances to score and we saw that. In a difficult game he scored three goals and helps us a lot."

NOT A BAD WEEK FOR ERLING!

City are not the only ones on top and it's no surprise to see Erling Haaland on top of the goalscring charts. He has six goals already, two more than Brentford's Bryan Mbuemo. It comes in the week when he won the PFA Players' Player of the Year award and UEFA Champions League Player of the Season.

WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE!

City will go into the international break on top of the Premier League as the only club with 100% record from the first four games. It's early days but you can't get better than perfection.

MAIN MAN

Erling Haaland shares a joke with Bernd Leno at full-time before taking yet another matchball on a tour of the Etihad along with his team-mates as they get a big ovation from the delighted City fans. Another fabulous day from the Blues.

FULL-TIME

The final whistle goes and a superb victory. I'm not sure City got into top gear but they didn't need to. Watch Matchday Live for the views of Kit Symons, Darius Vassell and David James.

90'+5'

BANG!

Great work from Sergio Gomez who cut the ball back for Haaland and he smashes it in from the penalty spot.
