That's all for today...

An excellent day's work at the Etihad! Now we sit back and see how the other sides at the top do this weekend.

We're back at the Etihad on Tuesday night when Young Boys are the visitors in the Champions League. We can seal our place in the Round of 16 with a win in that one.

Before then though, we'll have the highlights and full-match replay for CITY+ subscribers from this match later tonight.

It's also the Copa Libertadores final tonight between Boca Juniors and Fluminense. The winner of that game will join us in Saudi Arabia in December for the FIFA Club World Cup, although they will play in the other semi-final.

See you soon, Blues 💙

Nathan Ake reacts 🗣

OVERALL?

It shows that we want to continue what we've been doing. Last week was a good game but the league goes on and you have to keep going and keep winning.

We expected them [Bournemouth] to play with four defenders as they have all season but they changed to five. It's about finding the spaces, Jeremy [Doku] was fantastic. Sometimes you need individual quality to open up the game and he did that. He was fantastic.

DOKU?

His personality, he works hard, he's a good guy and he gets on with everyone. He's not shy to show his abilities, he wants to take everyone on even in training. He's so difficult to mark and he's going to be important this season.

IMPROVEMENTS?

There's always improvement to be made, Pep [Guardiola] is never happy or settled and neither are we we have to keep going and improving.

Goal glut under Guardiola

City have scored 6+ goals in a game for the 12th time under Pep Guardiola in the Premier League, with only Alex Ferguson (14) and Arsène Wenger (13) taking charge of more such matches in the competition.

We have also had a 3+ goal lead at half-time in 28 games in the Premier League since Pep Guardiola took charge, almost twice as many times as any other side during this period (Tottenham, 15).

17:19

Youngest to do it

With one goal and four assists at the age of 21 years and 161 days, Jeremy Doku became both the youngest player in Premier League history with five goal involvements in a single game, as well as the youngest player to assist four goals in a single game.

Top of the table 📈

That result also moves us to the top of the Premier League table for the time being. Arsenal play Newcastle this evening while Spurs have to wait until Monday evening to face Chelsea.

We'll see then where that leaves us.

Extended record v Bournemouth

Our Premier League record against Bournemouth was already the best in the Premier League before today. Now it's 13 matches, 13 wins against the Cherries.

In all league football, we've played them 19 times, won 17 and drawn two.

Doku's day!

Goals: 1

Assists: 4

Passes: 35

Chances created: 5

Successful dribbles: 4/4

Ground duels won: 6/7

17:13

22 successive home wins

Today's win was our 22nd in a row at home, stretching back to the FA Cup defeat of Chelsea at the start of January.

That's the second best run of all-time in English football - only Sunderland's 24 wins in 1892 can better that now.

17:11

Today's sixth goal

Another well worked corner, turned home by Nathan Ake!

17:09

Today's fifth goal

Just look at that Doku pass to Bernardo! What you can't see here though...the delicate little Bernardo chip over Radu.

You'll have to join us for the highlights this evening to see that.
