Full-Time

City hit Luton for six to progress into the quarter-finals of the 2023/24 FA Cup courtesy of a comprehensive 6-2 win.

Erling Haaland hit five of them ā€“ a hat-trick in the first half and a brace after the break ā€“ with the first four set up by Kevin De Bruyne.

Haalandā€™s quintet equalled the City record for most goals by one player in a single FA Cup game, alongside Frank Roberts (1926 v Palace) and Bobby Marshall (1930 v Swindon).

Denis Law did score six, ironically against Luton in 1961, but they were wiped from the records due to game being abandoned.

Mateo Kovacic hit the sixth of this game, firing home a crunching strike.

Lutonā€™s two were scored by Jordan Clark and an impressive double they were, although they proved to be a sidenote in a game dominated by the brilliant blues.
