Goodbye 👋

Thank you as always for your company this afternoon.

It wasn't to be, and while it hasn't ended how we'd want it to, it's been another record-breaking season for City.

A fourth successive Premier League title, a UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup is an excellent haul for 2023/24, and a good motivation to go again for 2024/25.

Make sure to check out mancity.com and the official Man City app for plenty of post-match reaction across the evening.

17:55

Congratulations to Manchester United on being crowned FA Cup champions 👏

17:50

Pep Guardiola continued 🗣

"In general it was a good performance considering the final, but sometimes this happens.

"We don't play against United, we play for ourselves."

17:45

Pep Guardiola on fine margins 🗣

"It can happen, many things happen in finals today and decisions. At the end they scored two goals and we couldn't score more.

"Second half we were there all the time. United have been a transition team for 10, 20, 30 years. In the first half we struggled, second we were better until we found our moment scoring late on.

"The chances we had with Erling, two with Julian and the actions from Jeremy Doku especially on the left side."

17:40

Pep Guardiola on BBC Sport 🗣

"We've had a fantastic season. We lost the game, congratulations to United.

"It was a tight game and after we conceded a goal and second half we had the chances.

"It changed our pace up front and overall we made a good personality considering the final. Congratulations to United."

Take the positives

It hurts now, but let's not forget some of our achievements this year.

Not only have we won the UEFA Super Cup and a FIFA Club World Cup for the first time in our history, but we've once again been crowned Premier League champions.

That's four in a row, seeing us become the first men's side in English football history to do so.

17:32

Paul Dickov on Matchday live 🗣

"It's disappointing today. Doku was a game changer, when he came on the pitch he was inside and outside and it lifted everyone.

"Julian also looked sharp. They'll find it difficult to find positives because they're serial winners.

"They won't like seeing someone else lift the trophy."

17:28

Unwavering support from the travelling City fans, as usual
