Goal machine

Erling Haaland (now 61) reached the 60-goal tally in the Premier League today, in his 63rd appearance in the competition.

Before today, the fewest matches a player needed to reach 60 Premier League goals was 77 by Alan Shearer.

Further evidence of Haaland's incredible record.

More from Pep 💬

The 20 minutes he [Haaland] played against Nottingham Forest was really good and today as well. We won, but it was so long an injury. It is welcome he arrived in the right moment.

But we arrive together because Erling and Kevin [De Bruyne] have been out, but Phil [Foden] and Julian [Alvarez] have played so well.

Pep's reaction 💬

It looks comfortable but it was not. In the end we created more chances but in the transition we were not precise in the last pass.

But Erling [Haaland] is back to business. Penalties are a guarantee but the second and fourth [goals] were unbelievable.

They are a really, really good team but we made calls in the right moment, especially with the fourth because at 3-1 anything can happen.

Lethal weapon

Mr Consistency

A word too for Rodrigo.

The Spaniard is now unbeaten in each of his last 71 appearances for City in all competitions (W55-D16-L0, games decided by a penalty shootout classed as a draw), since a 1-0 Premier League defeat at Spurs on 5 February 2023.

Wow.

A bit more than a lucky charm too - absolute class act in every way!

20 up

That's now 20 games unbeaten in the Premier League.

Sixteen wins and four draws since we lost away at Aston Villa in early December.

That feels like an awful long time ago!

Incredible consistency from Pep Guardiola's side.

Erling Haaland was right at it today - what a performance!

From David Clayton at the Etihad 💬

Terrific performance by the lads – Wolves don’t concede five goals very often, but we made them look pretty ordinary this afternoon.

Pep will be delighted and now thoughts turn to Fulham. Three more wins needed and, in this mood, who would bet against us?

A week's rest

City now have seven days to rest and recuperate before we are next in action away at Fulham next Saturday when we kick-off at 12.30pm.

Three games to go in the league for City, two for Arsenal.

Two more weeks to go in the league,

Cannot wait!
