Post-Match reaction 📺

Pep Guardiola on KDB 👇

"He was injured again unfortunately.

“It’s the same position, I think he said to me in the final of the Champions League.

“He recovered well and now we’ve lost him for a time.

“We have to reflect and talk to the doctors and physios about what happened with him. He has to be relaxed and recover and come back.

“He was feeling really good and playing really good in the first minutes. So unfortunately he’s injured again.”

“We started well.

“We found a goal, we struggled a bit after.

Erling Haaland on scoring more this season 👇

“I cannot think too much about this.

“If you do you will become crazy in the head.

“People forget fast that we are Treble winners.

“We have to chase things again.”

Post-Match reaction 📺

Erling Haaland on his second goal 👇

“Great goal!

“First Julian got a lot of space. So I knew if I got the ball I had to shoot.

“I was thinking I had to finish it if I got it and I did it quite well.

“It’s a good finish.”

Erling Haaland on Burnley win 👇

“Good to start again. It’s been two months, good to start with a win of course.

“We did it quite controlled, we did quite well. We’re in the start phase of this marathon. It’s about not stressing, to relax and focus on ourselves.

“I just have to keep on working, keep on relaxing and keep on not thinking too much.”

Full-Time

Great start to the 2023/24 season here for City as we see off hosts Burnley 3-0 at Turf Moor.

Erling Haaland bagged a first half brace to put us in control at the interval and, despite a spirited Clarets performance, the scoreline was extended with a close-range Rodrigo finish after the break.

Playing your opening game of the season against a newly-promoted side on away turf is never an easy assignment so Pep Guardiola will be delighted to come away with a very welcome three point haul.
