Thanks...

And with those words from the boss, I'll close proceedings here. We'll be back against Brighton in a fortnight and hopefully, we can get back to winning ways as well. Thanks for joining us and remember we have full Pep reaction, Bernardo has spoken to us and match highlights as well. Disappointing, but this group of players are never down for too long... so neither should we.

Pep reaction

That game, we started really well with two or three chances. They started the second half really well with the rhythm. The it was tight and they got a deflection goal. They won, congratulations to them.

We tried. We did it. I think from both sides there was not a lot of chances. I think both teams did good high pressing. It was tight and in the end, one action, we lost the game.

Ten minutes was like that with Arsenal on top and after it was equal. We had also our moments but in general it was a tight game. Unfortunately they did it.

Bernardo: We are going for it again

Some of these results we were not expecting and we didn’t want them to happen. Last season we won the Treble but there was a point that nothing was going our way. How you overcome these moments is what defines the team and we will keep fighting for all the games. We’re going for it again.

Bernardo: We move on to the next one

It’s a setback. It’s still the beginning. We’re far away from the end of the season. It was not the result we wanted. Against a tough opponent it is never easy to play.

We felt the game was tough for both teams. Both are tough and organised and tense. We had a few chances in the beginning. The end it was a deflection.

In my opinion we gave them too much time to think. We have to be more intense in the pressing. It is what it is. It’s part of football and we move onto the next one.

Peter Schmeichel on BBC Sport saying this a statement win for Arsenal but I disagree. We weren't anywhere near our best  in either the Community Shield or today and - for the record - both Arsenal's goals were massively deflected in each game. If they'd beaten us when we were at full tilt I'd be a bit more worried. They're a good side and we know that, but dealing with four competitions including the Champions League is not easy and there is a long way to go.  There is much more to come from City.

Feeling flat and sure you are as well. That was a 0-0 draw  all day, wasn't it?

Coming up...

Plenty more reaction coming up - we'll have Pep's thoughts plus a player. We'll also have match highlights (brief) at 20:15 (UK) plus extended action and our full match replay offering both from midnight,

Paul Dickov on Matchday Live

It was an average performance by us today - everyone was OK but we lacked a bit of spark. I'd say if we are thereabouts by Christmas and we get Kevin De Bruyne back, we'll be fine from there on in.
