Dickov: I have to give a shoutout to the back four. To keep a clean sheet against this opposition is amazing. They looked like senior players. They were vocal and you could hear them shouting at the senior players to get back into position.
Goater: The passing from out of defence was neat and tidy.
Dickov: They were so composed on the ball. They didn’t panic and didn’t get flustered. You can see they’ve come through this fantastic academy system. I thought they were outstanding.

The 31-year-old was often a thorn in Girona's side with teasing passes, strong runs and his ability to maintain possession in tight areas.
