That is all from me after what I think we can all agree was a hugely satisfying night.

A 3-1 win at Leeds, two more goals for Erling Haaland, two Jack Grealish assists and a Rodrigo strike to boot made it a night to remember.

And the perfect way to return to Premier League action after six weeks away.

We'll do it all again on New Year's Eve when we play host to Everton in our final match of 2022.

Let's hope we can sign off in style.

Rodri on Erling Haaland:

"He’s this kind of player, different class, world class at 22 years old. The gap of improvement is great, he can improve a lot still. If he only scores goals, for me that’s enough!

"He can go even more. He’s been great setting the ball and turning. He has two goals,  it seems weird for him to miss but he’s unbelievable."

Rodri on the timing of his goal:

It was important. These goals make a pain in the rivals in the last minute. We deserved to be on top but you have to score, this is football. We have to be focused on scoring goals, that’s most important.

Rodri's full time verdict

 I think we did a very complete game. We started so good, with high rhythm. This team Leeds have the highest rhythm in the game so we had to equal that. We created enough chances to have even more than three goals.

More from the boss:

All the processes we can do are because of Rico and Rodri. Defensively Rico is so smart. He understands the game, he’s so clever. He was exceptional again, playing against Chelsea, then Liverpool and again today, wow! He played really, really well.

Pep on Jack Grealish's assists

 He gave two brilliant assists. Jack and Riyad gave us the right tempo. Of course, he has to score goals. The chances are there. In the training session we see he has the ability to put the ball in the net. He needs no negativity in his mind.

Pep Guardiola's verdict:

It was more difficult in the second half than the first. The first half was exceptional. We didn’t concede one shot in this stadium. It’s a big compliment for the guys. Liverpool and today was a great performance.
