That's all for tonight!

Well, it was a game of two halves but in the end it's a huge three points for City.

Riyad Mahrez's goal takes us to 39 points from 17 matches and five behind leaders Arsenal.

We're back on Sunday and it's against Chelsea again - this time in the FA Cup.

In the meantime, look out for highlights at midnight from tonight's battling victory. We'll have plenty more reaction tomorrow, too.

CITY!

Pep Guardiola's reaction 🗣

On performance: We didn't play good in the first half. I admire the effort from Joao and say thank you. We couldn't adapt with the players on the pitch. The second was much better

On HT changes: In the last games Rico has the ability to make his mates play better. He knows exactly when to go inside and what he has to do. He changed the game for us. Manu [Akanji] was really good. Kyle also finished the first half really good after a long time.

On Stones' performance: He played an extraordinary WC. He held the build up perfectly. He is playing the best level since we arrived together. When he is stable in his head and his mood his good he is excellent.

On Grealish assist: He did it in Leeds and today again. His body language is always exceptional. When you are like this, these guys always play good. His contribution was amazing.

A game of two halves!

Jack Grealish to Sky Sports 🗣

On the win: It was a tough game, Chelsea played brilliant especially in the first half. We got the goal and after that it was backs against the wall really. Buzzing to come here and get three points.

On HT changes: The manager changed a few things and had a few words with us. The first 20 minutes of the second half we dominated and had the most chances.

On his assist: The manager said to me, be aggressive and attack, stay high and wide and I did that. It was weird because I was speaking to Riyad inside and he thought the keeper would get it and so did I. I thought Erling has got to be somewhere in there! I said to him, where were you? He said because everyone was in there he pulled back. I thought the keeper would get it but now I’m going to praise my cross. I thought i played that too close to him.

On life at City: I’ve said this before, it’s so different to what I was used to at Villa when I played for Dean Smith. He would say find the weak link in their defence. I had an overlapping full back. I’ve come to City and I didn’t realise how hard it is to adapt to a new team and manager. It’s so much more difficult than I thought. A lot of teams sit in against us.

A beautiful move 🤩

Thanks to all of our fans!

John Stones speaking to Sky Sports 🗣

On importance of result: It's a big three points for us. The other day we felt we dropped two points and we wanted to put it right today.

On change in second half: We rushed a lot of our play in the first half and we didn't retain the ball as we usually do. Credit to Chelsea, they played really compact. It all came together in the second half.

On Pulisic block: I tried to show him the outside of the goal and then got a good block in.

On his form: I feel like I have been in a good zone for the past 2 or 3 years. I have had to work on my game and be a better player and person.

On title race: We don't focus on the table. There are still 63 points to play for so we just have to take it game by game.

Stones' performance

Completed passes - 85

Aerial duels won - Four

Ground duels won - Three

Clearances - Four

Headed clearances - Four

What these numbers can't convey though is the sheer importance of that block to deny Christian Pulisic in the first half. That's just as valuable as a goal at the other end.
