Post-Match reaction 📺

Pep Guardiola on team selection 👇

“We have four or five players with niggles, not big injuries, but they are injuries.

“The guys who played today deserved and it’s important for me to see how they feel – and Nathan after being injured.

“Aymer came back again and played 90 minutes. Unfortunately for Kyle, I could not give him time to rest because we didn’t have many substitutions.

“But they need to rest now, to arrive with the right energy and that is going to happen against United and after in the next game in the Champions League.”

Post-Match reaction 📺

Pep Guardiola on the Brentford result 👇

“Congratulations to Brentford for the victory.

“It was a tight game. They pushed more and it was difficult to face them. How quick they play, how aggressive and fast in all departments.

“But I don’t have any complaints, how good we behaved and all the players were there.

“I said to the players after the game, today we finished the Premier League that you deservedly won, enjoy two days with your families, don’t see each other and on Wednesday we’ll prepare the first final.”

Saluting Shea

It may not have been the result he wanted, but what an amazing memory for Shea Charles today - making his senior first team debut.

Hopefully the first of many!

Esme Morgan on KDB Playmaker of the Year award 👇

Nedum Onuoha on Erling Haaland winning the Golden Boot 👇

“I tell you what, I think he would trade it all to lift the two more trophies before the end of the season!

“He said it himself and I believe him. Some people are very much about themselves, and he is more about the team and that’s why City signed him.

“There’s so much more he can give, he’ll enjoy it and have huge pride in that.

“But he’ll work again and want to do more.

“He’s a very special talent and an incredible professional. You can see why he is successful now and will be in the future as well.”

Well done, Erling!

Erling Haaland has won the 2022/23 Premier League Golden Boot, awarded to the player that has scored most goals in the campaign.

The Norwegian hit a record breaking 36 goals this season, finishing six ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane.

He becomes City’s third winner in the history of the Premier League after Sergio Aguero’s 26-goal haul in 2014/15 and Carlos Tevez’s 20 in 2010/11 that saw him share the award with Dimitar Berbatov.

Congrats KDB!

Kevin De Bruyne has won the Playmaker of the Year Award for a third time.

Our midfielder claimed the prize after again contributing the most assists in the Premier League.

KDB contributed 16 assists this season to help City claim the Premier League title for a third season in a row and fifth time in six years with the Belgian playing a major part in each of those successes.
