An extremely talented youngster who shines in the no.9 position, Lukas Nmecha has also been deployed on either wing in a City shirt as managers look to make the most of his talents in the final third.
Possessing an excellent first touch and two good feet, Lukas excels in one on one situations and is ruthless in front of goal.
He made four appearances for the U18s while still a schoolboy, scoring once, and showed his firepower that pre-season Spain, when he scored six in the 10-0 demolition of Real Murcia and two more against Elche.
In the 2015/16 campaign he led City's scoring charts, with 20 goals as the young Blues topped the U18 Premier League.
The following year he was predominantly used by Simon Davies and hit nine times in seventeen Premier League 2 appearances.
He did, however, join up with the U18s for the FA Youth Cup and was the competition's top scorer as he found the back of the net 11 times, including a hat-trick in each leg of the semi-final against Stoke City.
This season, Lukas is again part of the Elite Development Squad and after a short spell out injured returned with a second half hat-trick against Derby County in October, a performance which was rewarded with a place in Pep Guardiola's matchday squad for the Carabao Cup tie against Wolves.
The tall striker has also impressed at international level and was part of the England U19 squad that won the European Championships in 2017.
Nmecha played a crucial role in this success, scoring a last gasp winner in the semi-final and the only goal of the game in the final.
