Norwich to Manchester Cycle 2020
City in the Community is excited to host our next cycle event - a challenging, but very scenic 200 mile cycle from Norwich to Manchester across two days, with our team finishing at The Etihad Stadium to watch our last game of the season.
Our team will travel down to Norwich via coach (late afternoon) on Friday 15th May and the challenge will begin early on Saturday 16th May,
- DAY 1 riding from Norwich to Chesterfield (140 miles)
- DAY 2 riding the remaining 60 miles through the Peak District and arriving at The Etihad Stadium
All of our team will receive:
- A personalized cycling jersey
- Training and nutritional tips, including a group training cycle on Saturday 21st March at Mottram St. Andrew Village Hall
- All overnight accommodation and coach/bike transfers
- Breakfast and refreshments along the cycle across the two days*
- 1 Ticket to the last game of the season VS Norwich and a well-deserved drink to celebrate completing the challenge
*Please note your evening meal on Saturday 16th May will need to paid for by you, we will be eating at the hotel restaurant and a menu can be sent on request.
To secure your place we ask that you pay £50 upon registering, the total cost per person to take part in the challenge is £200. Your registration fee forms part of the cost and the remaining balance of £150 will be due on or before 28th February 2020, payment details will be emailed to you following your registration.
The cost per person covers all associated event costs including travel to Norwich, accommodation, food and refreshments, facility hire and all other event support and logistics. By covering the costs of participating in the event, this ensures that all fundraising collected by participants from friends, family and colleagues can directly go towards the fundraising total. The fundraising target for returning cyclists is £400 and £500 for first timers.
The cycle aims to raise as much money as possible for City in the Community and we can’t do this without our amazing fans.
GIVING CITY KIDS A BETTER SHOT AT LIFE
All funds raised during the 19/20 season will be channeled to support City in the Community’s ongoing work to tackle social issues in Manchester. At the end of the season, a new five-year program will be launched, especially related to children’s development, the legacy of the Club’s 125th season.
