In May 2009, Manchester City announced a partnership with Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the United Arab Emirates. The Club’s stadium was renamed Etihad Stadium, forming the centre piece of the Etihad Campus, which encompasses a large part of the Sport city site in East Manchester.
