Two goals from Nicolas Anelka were enough to give City their first away win of the 2004/05 season and ease the pressure on manager Kevin Keegan.
Anelka broke the deadlock after the break with this fine individual effort, beating Palace keeper Julian Speroni with a powerful low drive.
City line-up that day:
James, Mills, Distin, Dunne, Thatcher, Wright-Phillips, Sibierski, Reyna, Barton, Anelka, Macken (Jihai 88).
Subs Not Used: Fowler, Bosvelt, Waterreus, Flood.
